Five-Star Safety & Technology
As a leader in auto innovation, Toyota is committed to creating an accident-free future and has been named one of the industry’s safest vehicle brands by organizations like the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) year after year.
Our Commitment to Quality is Your Peace of Mind
Each step of our manufacturing process is designed to give drivers confidence in the quality, durability, and trustworthiness of their Toyota vehicles.
Toyota conducts over 1,600 vehicle crash tests and thousands more virtual simulations annually. Targeted sensors feed data to our engineers throughout each crash test, giving us the information necessary to adapt and improve the design of our vehicles to maximize your safety.
No Toyota vehicle makes it onto Canada’s highways without going through multiple checkpoints. Take our airbags, for example. Each airbag is inspected three separate times on the production line before being connected to the airbag system via corrosion-resistant terminals.
In 2015, Toyota introduced the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA), a complete overhaul of platforms and powertrains. These re-engineered systems are designed to make Toyota vehicles better in every way - stronger, smarter, safer, and built to last.
